JAYANT KRISHNA ROHATGI

Born in the eighties in the idyllic lanes of north Kolkata, I progressed from chasing kites to chasing degrees in business and commerce. i quit to pursue theatre and was drawn into storytelling. After graduation, I moved to Mumbai and joined the world of advertising film making. 

 

I have been directing television commercials since 2008. I have a penchant for realistic storytelling laced with emotion, drama and at times squeezing the funny side of life. My debut feature film 'Sumo Didi' has been appreciated and loved at international film festivals - Tokyo-IFF 2023, New York-IFF 2024 & Palm Springs-IFF 2024.
